Shanghai Television Festival
The Shanghai Television Festival (Chinese: 上海电视节, abbreviated STVF, also known as Shanghai International Television Festival is the first and one of the largest Television festivals in East Asia. Held since 1986, STVF has become the most influential and prestigious international TV festival in Asia strengthening the cooperation and communication between the Chinese media industry and the world.[1]
It awards several "Magnolia" Awards (Chinese: 白玉兰; pinyin: Bai Yu Lan) for best television film, best television series, best director, best actor/actress, and other categories, as well as a "Special Jury Award." Since 2004, STVF added animation category.[2]

The most prestigious award given out at Shanghai is the Bai Yu Lan ("Magnolia") for the best television series, TV-movie and program.
